Hi I am a great great granddaughter of Thomas Hassall. I would be interested in any further information re the Hassall family. I live on the south coast of NSW Australia and would like to be in touch with Margaret Browning and compare notes.

Thomas Hassall featured as a convicted murderer who was transported to Australia in 1831 (see article here – the slight loss in format presentation is due to changes to the website software since this article was originally published).
As an aside, if you are going to be reprieved from being hanged and transported instead, there must be a lot worse places to get sent than the Hunter Valley...
So can anyone help Judy with any further information about the Hassall family?
