AudlemOnline puzzles aficionados will be pleased to learn that a "work-around" has been implemented so that the on-line puzzles (see Features/Puzzles) can now be loaded and used.
The problem arose because the main website has been converted to SSL security – this is increasingly demanded nowadays by Google and similar organisations – and a little padlock symbol now appears on the URL bar of the screen of some browsers.
Unfortunately, because of technical difficulties too trivial to bore you with, the puzzles part of the website could not easily be converted and one of the nuances of the SSL technology is that you cannot call a non-SSL domain from a pop-up window generated inside an SSL window. So, for those still awake, the calls to the individual puzzles have been taken outside a pop-up window and, hey presto, we have our puzzles back. This does not compromise the overall security of the website,
Apologies for the stress caused by the loss of this facility for the last few days.
