The Public Hall Management Committee has received the good news that a major grant has been received from WREN towards the cost of rebuilding the steps, forecourt and boundary walls of the Public Hall.

To meet the conditions of the Planning Consent for these works, the appearance of the walls and steps are to be kept the same as they are now. Existing materials will be re-used where possible, particularly the coping stones on the front walls.

The end result should be a distinct improvement in the appearance of the Hall from the road, as well as safer flights of steps for the entrance from Cheshire Street.

The Parish Council has also contributed significantly to the cost of these works, and the balance will be met out of the Hall's own funds.
