To celebrate the first day of April today we have a poem kindly provided by Jessie via Ralph Warburton:

Memories
I'm on my own today
So I have the Tele on
To keep me company.
I'm not really watching
I'm daydreaming of days long gone.

Memories come flooding back
Some make me smile to myself
But, now and then,
I smile where a smile should be!

Some make me sad
And I'm wondering why
I keep them through the years -
But they are mine
And well worth keeping.

Each of us reminisce
Remembering, perhaps, our first kiss?
Our very first love?
How many moons have waxed and waned since.

Those long gone
We remember-
We see them
So clear, so new -
Tucked away. Forgotten – never!

We can "play" our memories
Over and over -
Re-winding.
Memories, Memories, Memories
