Overwater – an Exceptional Award

There was much excitement at Overwater Marina, Coole Lane, near Audlem, this week when Marina Manager David Johnson and Touring Park Manager Carol Keeley received their 'Exceptional Service Award' from owner, Janet Maughan.

The British Holiday and Home Park Association Award was presented to David and Carol in recognition of their efforts during the early covid lockdowns, when they remained at Overwater making sure that customers' boats and caravans were looked after.

The couple, who are getting married this April, also kept the Overwater customers entertained on social media with regular quizzes and a Saturday night singalong.

David and Carol were delighted to receive the award but were keen to point out that lockdown was much harder on their colleagues who were furloughed and, that for them, being kept busy made the lockdown much easier.'
