Reason: Repair

Update on 27/02/2020:

Repair works to the canal bed above the culvert at Adderley will be completed on time. However, there will be a delay in removing the dams and re-watering the navigation.

Our contract partners who provide, install and remove the dams, are working as hard as they can to deliver and maintain flood protection around the region and especially to communities along the River Severn. This has to be their priority. They assure us they will do what they can to remove the dams at Adderley as soon as possible.

As a result, we anticipate we will need to extend the closure by one week until 6th March 2020. We appreciate your patience in these extremely difficult conditions and apologise for any inconvenience this extension may cause.
