No APHAx funding from Aviva

The APHAx team learnt last week that the bid for some funding for the APHAx project from the Aviva scheme did not succeed.

This was the funding that required people to vote on-line for individual funding requests.

We believe that just over 100 people registered their vote for the APHAx funding, but unfortunately other projects attracted more votes (significantly more in some cases).

So a heartfelt thankyou to all those who took the trouble to go through the somewhat convoluted voting process, and regrets that it was not met with success..

There is another of these "beauty contest" funding bids in the offing, but we suspect that this will involve people turning up in person to vote – we will give more details of this when we know them.

Meanwhile please continue to support the APHAx fund-raising events, be they the Grand Dinner/Dance taking place on March 25th next year, or the Plaque sponsorship scheme which will allow your name to be displayed "for ever" on the Sponsors Wall in the new Annexe.
