Tests, Artwork and Sunshine and Showers!

Our Year 6 children have been working hard all week on their assessments this week. They completed their final SATs on Thursday and I am tremendously proud of the way they prepared and tackled these assessments.

Thanks to the staff and parents who have supported them in their preparations for these tests.

Carnival

Three of our Year 6 girls have a special role to play in this year's Audlem Carnival as they will be part of the parade as Carnival Queen (Daisy Poole) and Princesses (Molly Lancaster and Harlie Jewell). I am sure the girls will do a wonderful job!

Artwork

Despite the rain earlier this week, we have still had plenty of opportunity to get outside and enjoy the sunnier weather as part of topics and work throughout school.

Amethyst class were determined to not let the rain interrupt their planting and digging work on Monday and classes through school have been beginning to work on special art work for Skoolsfest in June based on the theme 'People of Nantwich' with some fanatastic results.

FASA

FASA's 'Black and White Glamour Night' was a great success a week last Friday with the event raising £365 for school. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Marshall for providing the music for a fun night for all. Thanks also to all of the FASA team for their hard work organising and setting up this event and to all of the people who supported it.

Our Summer Fair will soon be with us when we return to school after the half term break. It will be held on 3rd July. Please look out for more details in future newsletters.

Don't forget that FASA will be holding their annual AGM on Tuesday 20th May at 2pm in our school hall. Everyone is welcome, please join us if you can.

FASA's current Treasurer will be stepping down from this role at this meeting and Deborah Varley, FASA's Chair, is interested in hearing from anyone who would like to find out more about taking up this role. Deborah can be contacted at debsvarley@hotmail.co.uk

Beaver Leader Appeal – Can You Help?

Audlem is extremely lucky to have a thriving Beaver Unit which runs at 5.00pm every Wednesday at the Scout and Guide Hall. Many children from our school attend and thoroughly enjoy all the fun activities that take place each week.

Cathie Colgan (Group Scout Leader) is kindly running this unit temporarily, unfortunately Beavers faces closure if a permanent leader is not found. This would be a real loss for the children and the community. Please have a think and if you feel you or someone you know could become more involved then contact Cathie either by email at c.p.colgan@btinternet.com or by phone on 01270 812152. Thank you.

ABC Childcare

There have been some requests for ABC to open their Breakfast Club provision from 7.45am. If this is of interest to you, please get in touch with Lynsey as soon as possible.

Also – don't forget messy play sessions on Monday mornings 9.30am-11.30am. These sessions are open to all parents/carers and their little ones. This week's theme is 'The Gingerbread Man'.

We are also sending out details of half term holiday club provision provided by ABC for this half term. Lynsey can be contacted on 01270 669050 for more details.

School Rucksacks bargain

We have a stock of school rucksacks that we are selling at much reduced prices between now and the end of term. We are selling the rucksacks at £2.00 each.

This is a great opportunity to get prepared for September early! The bags are available from the School Office but once they are gone they're gone!

Finally

Don't forget Worship on a Farm Service today, Sunday 18th May, at Kynsal Farm at 4.00pm.
This special service will be wonderful opportunities for families from our school community to come together to worship in a unique manner.
Hopefully the sun will shine too!
