The recent Open Gardens event proved to be a huge success with over 200 visitors enjoying the wide variety of gardens on display.

Thanks are due to the garden owners who worked so hard before the event and patiently answered so many questions about their plants on the day.

The hanging baskets and floral displays are now in full bloom and are providing a wonderful splash of colour in the village. Many favorable comments have been received from both local residents and visitors.

The Britain in Bloom judging has already taken place so hopefully Audlem might win another award this year.

The children at St James School have all taken home their sunflower plants and are nurturing them during the summer holidays. The results of their efforts will be judged in September.

Dates for your diary:

On Saturday October 8th there will a Brass and Choral concert in St James Church -- a repeat of last year's event which was a great success.

The annual Table Top sale will take place in Audlem Public Hall on Saturday October 15th -- a good chance to de-clutter and make some money!

Finally a reminder that subs envelopes can be returned to Williams Newsagents. All donations will be used to improve the amenities and appearance of the village for the local community to enjoy.
