There's a new article on the homepage of Audlem Online. Written by Geoff Seddon, it takes a look at Audlem's Public Hall, its history and the major improvements made in recent years.

Geoff explains how the money to pay for the hall's operation is generated from the users of the hall, donations from individuals and organisations, an annual grant by Audlem Parish Council and the annual 20-week draw.

So please continue to support the Public Hall, either by supporting their fund-raising efforts – such as the Valentine's Ball and the 20-week draw – or by making a donation, which can be gift-aided of course, so that this valuable village asset can remain viable and can be used for generations to come. The Hall can also be hired by contacting Olive or Geoff Stretch on 01270 811684.

Tomorrow, Saturday 7th February, there's two films on show – see Calendar of Events – part of the Public Hall's cinema programme. It's £2.50 for children and £5 for adults for the 5.00pm performance; £5 for the 7.30pm showing of 'Australia'.
