New Narrow Boat Festival

A new event is being added to the Audlem calendar this year with the Audlem Narrow Boat Festival planned at Overwater Marina on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd.

While many details remain to be firmed up by organisers Rod Cottrell and the Overwater team, it it is likely that the event will include a hog roast, music, entertainment and a bar in a marquee for up to 200 people on the Saturday evening.

The Sunday will include an Overwater 'Round the Island' raft race, the bar, and a programme of afternoon events which will include a Narrowboaters' Question Time with three or four experts answering boaters' questions, a BBQ, tea and coffee, and many stalls.

Last year saw an RNLI/Overwater event – Safety Afloat – at the marina. That was very successful and it is hoped that the Audlem Narrow Boat Festival this year will be even more so.
