One of the most worrying experiences for a parent or carer is when their son or daughter starts to drive.

Connexions IMPACT project will be running free new driver workshops across Cheshire to inform young people and their parents about how best to support the new driver in their family.

The nearest to Audlem is on Monday 4th October from 6.45pm – 9pm at Crewe Vagrants Sports Club, Newcastle Road, Willaston, Nantwich, CW5 7EP.

The event will give you the opportunity to find out what the issues are around keeping safe whilst learning to drive and in the first year after passing your test. A prize draw will be held at the end of each workshop, giving you the opportunity to win 6 FREE sessions in a driving simulator at a BSM centre.

The format of the event will be a mixture of presentations and workshops, and you will:
-Gain an overview of the requirements of the new driving test
-Receive a copy of the "Going Solo" Booklet
-Understand how parents attitudes influences new drivers
-Receive road user education, learning information that you may not know before that can be shared between the new driver and their parent/carer
-Become aware of the most dangerous times for new drivers to drive
-Have the opportunity to talk to and pose questions to Road Safety staff from a variety of organisations
-Discuss ideas of how you/your new driver can become a safer driver

These Events are open to learner/new drivers and their parents/carers. To book a free place on one of these events, please call the IMPACT team on 01606 305258 or email youngroadusers@connexions-cw.co.uk">youngroadusers@connexions-cw.co.uk

You will need to provide the following details: Full name, address with postcode, telephone number, e-mail address, which event you would like to attend – there are others across Cheshire as well as the Willaston event.
