Those that have bought cheese and pickles from the Cheese Boat will welcome the news that The Borders Cheese Carrying Company will be in Audlem regularly.

Previous operators Helen & David Wanamaker have returned to Canada but the range and free tasting of the cheeses will continue as before.

Under new ownership and based locally, the Borders Cheese Carrying Company will be travelling along the length of the Shropshire Union and the Llangollen canals.

They will also be heading North to the Trent & Mersey as far as the River Weaver and the Staffs & Worcs to the South selling their popular cheeses and pickles from the narrowboat.

The boat will be starting its 2012 season in Audlem on the weekend of March 16th – 18th, Mothering Sunday weekend.

On board will be the Snowdonia and Caws Cenarth cheese ranges and Mike's Chutneys and Pickles.

The boat will then be in Audlem for the Music & Arts Festival in late May/early June, the Transport Festival weekend in July and the weekend of the Beer Festival at the end of August..

You can contact The Borders Cheese Carrying Company on 0783 558 4867.
