Further to the feats already mentioned in the earlier story:

Rev Helen Chantry and Ned, the dog, taking on the 26 miles from St James to Chester Cathedral along the canal to help raise money for the roof repairs following the theft of the lead last year from St James Church.

Laura Bentley swimming the equivalent of the channel to raise money to help her provide first aid skills in needy areas of the world. You can contribute to Laura's efforts here.

Georgina Allman raising money for Arthritis Research UK, a charity that is very close to her heart. You can donate and read more about Georgie on her dedicated donation page, here.

Scotland's animal welfare charity who do vital work in ensuring the welfare of Scotland's neglected and abandoned animals, to sponsor Ceri Parsons please visit here.

Louise Worthington has also contacted AudlemOnline. She says: "I am running the London marathon for Sense. Please visit here to sponsor Louise.

Team Rounding run run run! Claire and Sarah Rounding after years of attempting to gain entry to this event enviously on-looking from behind the barriers, they have finally bitten the bullet and committed to run the 26 gruelling miles on April 21st 2013. The two of them will be running to help raise money for WellChild. With training in full swing, this will be their greatest challenge yet.WellChild is the national charity for sick children. They work to provide essential practical and emotional support for seriously ill children, young people and those who care for them across the UK. All donations will go directly to supporting such families. To support Team Rounding click here.

Charlie Hufton, Shelagh & Barrie's daughter is running for the RNIB. Her boyfriend's grandpa lives in Bristol and Charlie visits him regularly. He has been blind for 30 years and so the RNIB is a charity that is close to her heart. Her link to the justgiving website is here.

I believe there may be still more selfless and committed people in, or from, the village that are taking on such feats, let AoL know and we will add your details.

Donating through donating websites is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe – they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate- they raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Any amount that you are able to donate will be most gratefully received and will go to benefit a truly deserving cause. If, however, you prefer there are sponsorship forms in many of the shops in the village.
