The Wrenbury & District Model Railway club continues to grow since its formation on the 29th January this year.
They meet every Wednesday evening in the Wrenbury village hall on Cholmondeley Road between 7.00 and 10pm. The 24 members have a variety of interests and skills and an age range from 14 to 85.
There are three layouts under construction, a large 00 layout and two smaller N boards which keep them busy at every meeting.
They managed to run locomotives on temporary track during an open doors event when the village Scarecrow Trail took place in July. During that event they displayed their range of club clothing and merchandise, selling magazines, dvds, jigsaws and books to supplement their funds.
Their web site maintained brilliantly by Keith Dutton has not only had over a thousand visits but has brought in three of their members. Click here for a look at the website.
Drop in for a chat and a brew, visitors are most welcome. We have members in the Audlem area and would like to find more.
