Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service has launched a new mobile site for mobile and tablet users.

The site, designed specifically for mobile devices such as smartphones, lets visitors browse the latest incidents and keep up-to-date with news from the Service whilst on-the-go in an easy view mobile format.

Ecomms Manager Caroline Jones said: "After several months of development, we are delighted to announce the launch of our new responsive mobile website.

"The site has been optimised so that users can access information about incidents, news, jobs and contact details quickly on their mobile devices at the push of a button."

The mobile site has a very simple, basic, clear layout and has been rebuilt from the ground up, focusing on improving user experience, reliability and download speed.

There are an estimated 24 million smartphone users, nearly 38% of the UK population , and, by 2016, this is projected to rise to 41.9m.

The Service would appreciate feedback from mobile site users and is asking people to visit the link at the bottom of the mobile site home page to give their views.
