A convicted sex offender wanted by police after failing to comply with prison release conditions has been arrested.

Police asked residents in South Cheshire to be on the lookout for Ronald Anderson, 53, and warned he was a risk to children

He was arrested in Kent on Friday and is now back in custody. Anderson, who is from Sandbach, was released on licence in May of this year after being jailed for a minimum of 60 months in 2008 for sexual offences against children.

One of the conditions of his licence was that he must reside at a fixed address in the Sandbach area. On September 15th Anderson failed to return to this address and an alert was raised.
