Audlem School Governors are presently unable to meet in order to respond to the unexpected developments surrounding the threatened imposition of an IEB at the school.

The news of an Ofsted requirement and deadline was conveyed to us via the media, and at a time when many of our team had already embarked on long standing holiday commitments.

As a result, we remain without the necessary guidance of the Chair, Vice Chair, and several other governors – some of whom may be unaware of events.

Whilst we understand parents' concerns, a governance meeting will be arranged as soon as practicable next week to carefully consider the way forward, and to seek clarification from the Local Authority.

The governance team intends to communicate with parents and carers directly. There is a Parent Forum already scheduled for May 9th and the school newsletter/parent-mail will be used to this effect. In addition Governor Surgeries will continue to be held on a monthly basis.
