Dear Resident,
When I was first elected in 2008, I had the great pleasure of representing in Parliament a large number of villages and parishes to the south of Nantwich. In 2010, changes to the boundaries locally transferred many of those communities away from the Crewe and Nantwich constituency to the Eddisbury constituency.

Over the years, however, this hasn't stopped many residents of the Audlem ward coming to me for help: understandably, because of the close links with the Nantwich area.

Currently, the independent Boundary Commission is consulting on a reduction in the number of constituencies, from 650 to 600, in addition to the changes that are made regularly to equalise the populations of constituencies. For this reason, there will be potentially significant changes across Cheshire.

I support the official Conservative Party proposal in the review, which is to re-unite Audlem ward with the Crewe and Nantwich constituency. This will restore many of the natural links between Nantwich and our villages. I do hope you will agree that this change would be a welcome one.
Without your support there is no guarantee that the Boundary Commission will agree to this proposal. It would be incredibly helpful for as many local residents as possible to respond to the Boundary Commission's consultation, to support the proposal.

Your Member of Parliament, Antoinette Sandbach, is fully aware of this proposal and, together with MPs across South Cheshire, supports this plan.

Responses from individuals in their own words have the greatest impact with the Boundary Commission, and there is no particular form that a consultation response has to take. Any expression, however, of support for the connection and close community ties between your local area and Nantwich, would be extremely helpful.

You can respond to the Boundary Commission's consultation by filling in an online form at the consultation website, or by writing to the Boundary Commission at the following address:

Boundary Commission for England
35 Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3BQ

Click Here for the website www.bce2018.org.uk

The public consultation closes on 5 December.

Thank you very much for your assistance in this matter. If you have any questions please contact my office on 01270 501725 and my Team will be happy to assist you.

Yours sincerely,
Edward Timpson MP
