The news that BBC Europe has carried the Mend our Mum story has brought in some amazing calls.
George from the Village Chippy – he and his team appeared in the video – received a call from his Uncle Kosta in Cyprus to say excited: "Just seen you on TV!"
And, very generously, George, Ali and all the staff at The Village Chippy are chipping in with their Christmas tips to the Mend our Mum fund!
Calls have come in too from Barbados and New Zealand – a bit outside Europe, we know, but probably followed by many on the Internet – to say they had loved the coverage.
AudlemOnline has received an email from Holland saying: "We, Geja and Jan Rutgers (friends of the McKelvey's and the Nicholls family), have seen the item on the BBC and we are very proud!
Hope to see the village next year!"
Other messages have come in from Germany, USA, Canada and Australia.
Well over 10,000 people have viewed the video via AudlemOnline. Indeed, when we published the story of our record day on the website last week we never dreamt that such an amazing hits figure would ever be surpassed. That record stood for precisely four days before being beaten on Monday this week.
The donations continue to pour in. Berni was able to tell radio listeners yesterday that the total – that's money in website donations and other monies coming in via cheque etc – was over £60,000 with another £10,000 or so promised.
