British Medical Services in the Great War is the subject at the next History Society meeting, in the Scout and Guide Hall, on Thursday 17th November at 7.30pm.
The speaker, Helen Carter, brings her professional and personal interest to a fascinating and little known aspect of warfare. She will talk about the weapons used and the wounds they caused, the British Army Medical Services and the treatment of the wounded and sick.
There will also be an opportunity to handle some of the weapons and medical equipment used in the war.
Visitors and new members are very welcome.
