Lost a Union Jack?

Audlem is currently festooned with Union flags – over forty are thought to bedeck shops, churches, houses and pubs throughout the village centre..

But is one of them missing, we wonder, after seeing this photo of a dog taking refreshment outside the Mill Shop, snapped and sent to us by proprietors Peter and Christine Silvester.

How the dog reached the high-flying flags is a question we won't even attempt to answer. But if you have any idea, do let the webteam know.

Indeed, the sight has clearly inspired the Mill Shop – replicas of our flag-laden pooch can now be purchased there for a modest sum.
