I thought it worth publicising this book which is now in the shops cover – see photo.

This is the sixth book produced by Mark Potts and co-workers and sets out what he has managed to find out about EVERY name on a local memorial who died.

This includes Burleydam, Hankelow, Buerton, Audlem – every where around Crewe and Nantwich.

Anyone who knows they have a relative on a memorial should try to have a look and see what is revealed. There are of course many men who moved around so that no one village felt they belonged to them.

If there is a connection with Audlem, Hankelow, Buerton or Burleydam, the History Society is still trying to find out more about them and also those who returned or died later relatively young.
