Local Wildlife book

The Audlem Wildlife & Ecology Group is planning a year-long project in 2017 which, if successful, will result in a book detailing local wildlife through the seasons.

Monthly reports by a team of AWEG members will record interesting wildlife developments at a variety of locations. The ones being considered initially are:

• The Canal Towpath
• Coxbank
• Burleydam Pool
• Hatherton Garden and Wood
• Hankelow location
• Green Lane pond
• Overwater Marina
• Buerton location

The spread of locations may well increase if other local residents are interested but the current list includes all the parishes that make up the Audlem area.

More on this project as it develops and AWEG plan to keep readers of AudlemOnline informed of progress throughout 2017.

If the results are interesting enough, the group will consider whether to publish the completed book digitally on by print.
