Last week we updated readers on our progress at Oxtail & Trotter since our opening on 27th July. Today we turn to some of the Local Food Treasures that we sell in the shop.

#Apprentice
But first, a reminder that we are currently looking to recruit an apprentice to work alongside our small team. If you know anyone who would like to learn this highly skilled trade and carve out a successful career in the beautiful village of Audlem please send them our way!

We have really enjoyed seeking out the best condiments, pies and prepared meals to sell at Oxtail & Trotter.

#Smoke & Pickle
Smoke & Pickle provide us with the most delicious prepared meals including Bolognese, Chilli Con Carne, King Prawn Dhansak & Paneer & Pea Dhansak, for those times when you really want something tasty that tastes homemade without the effort of cooking it yourself!

#Kitchens Fine Foods
The Kitchens Fine Foods supply fabulous chutneys and relishes.....I think Tomato & Roasted Pepper Chutney is my favourite or the Picallili.  There are usually some tasters out on a Saturday to dip the sausages in!

#Flavoured Butter Company
The Flavoured Butter Company – does what it says on the tin – flavoured butters which are amazing melted on a steak, stirred through some mushrooms (garlic & parsley) or even on some warmed bread!

#Maynards Farm Bacon
Maynards Farm Bacon – A name that needs no introduction to most of you locals, they supply traditionally cured bacon, cooked hams and topside!

The Staffordshire Black bacon is quite simply sublime, on a bacon sandwich with a little Hawkshead Tomato sauce!

These are just a few....we have many more superb local brands on our shelves. In further updates we will try and introduce a few more of our lovely suppliers.
