Local book on Great War fallen

I have been compiling the book 'Where the Fallen Live Forever – the Great War Dead of Crewe & Nantwich'.

We aim to commemorate the 1,186 men of the old borough boundaries, which includes the men of Audlem and Buerton.

If any of your members / readers have photographs of the men listed on the relevant war memorials in your area that have not already been submitted, can they please get in touch with me. The photos will be copied and returned immediately.

We have so far collected, in a period of the last 10 years, some 414 photographs of the fallen from Crewe &Nantwich.

Any profits from the book (published in time for the 100th anniversary of the start of the war – August 2014) will be divided by the local Royal British Legion branches.
