Audlem Online has received the following message from the chairman of ADAS: "ADAS will be taking down all the wonderful Christmas trees and lights this weekend. It is always so sad to see the village afterwards, for the lights have truly been the best we have done – ever. The big tree will be cut down in sections for the sake of safety and the resultant logs will go to the sponsors of the tree. This should yield a good load of logs for the fire – a bonus which will be enjoyed by those who sponsor the tree. "The lights will all be wrapped and stored for December 1st 2007 when we will once again dress the village to maintain the best display in South Cheshire. New lights will be needed for the big tree as damage from tree climbers and the weather over the years has rendered them less than good.
"ADAS send our Happy New Year greetings to all and we look forward to your support for all we will do in 2007 for Audlem and the surrounding district."
