Boro Boys provided the opposition on Sunday. Last time that we played them, Saints had one man short and battled superbly to win. This time, Boro Boys had a player short and they too coped admirably. They fought for every ball and made Audlem work very hard indeed. After a well worked opening goal for Audlem, the Boro goalkeeper had the game of his life. At least four near certain goals were marvellously saved, keeping Boro in the game. A fantastic strike from distance levelled the scores at 1-1 and a draw looked the likely outcome. Audlem were playing well enough but simply not getting the final piece of luck to score the winner. In the very last minute though, good passing created an opening which was smashed home to secure a very hard fought 2-1 win. Audlem have now played 3, won 3 in the currennt competition and unbeaten in the last 23 games in all competitions.

Next week Audlem play new side Bocca Juniors Eagles, themselves unbeaten in their two games to date.
