The current Vote Poll will end this Sunday so do get your vote in on whether dogs should be kept on a lead on the canal towpath. While the 'Yes' votes have opened up a lead in the past few days, it's still heading for a close result so if you haven't voted yet, please do so as soon as possible.

The Webteam are looking at a number of possible subjects for the next poll. The favourite at present is to test opinion on the proposal by Cheshire County Council to move towards a single authority for most of the county, which mean the likes of Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council would disappear. Do you agree with the abolition of the borough council? If we go for that, we'll also run a few short articles with some of the background to the debate.

We have had other vote poll subjects proposed. If you have an issue which you think will be of interest to large numbers of local people, do let the Webteam know and we will consider it for the next or a future poll.
