A Picture Paints a Thousand Words

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all those wonderful and committed people in and around the village who have given their time, expertise and monetary contributions to help me in my support for The Kerry West Orphanage Project in Uganda.

This project is close to my heart as Kerry West is the daughter of one of my friends and she raises, finances, educates and supports these children, who would otherwise be forgotten.

Both Audlem WI and the Embroiderer's Guild have been knitting red jumpers to enable the children to have a school uniform, as well as collecting outgrown grey school skirts and trousers so that each child feels a sense of communal pride after the difficult start in life that many have had through no fault of their own.

I must also thank the Methodist Church and its members, who have been so generous with monetary donations.

I thought you might like to see the photograph, the result of many hours dedicated knitting by you all, ensuring the school children are fully equipped with their school uniforms. They are passing on a big 'Thank You' to you all!
