I just swan to come in!

Many walking along the canal and elsewhere will have seen the young swan that has made the village its home recently.

This shot was caught yesterday by Steve Elliott of the youngster trying to get into the Methodist Hall in Shropshire Street.

We are not sure if it was pastoral support the swan was seeking or possibly one of those sought-after programmes for Pollyanna which is on at the Church each evening this week until Saturday.

Perhaps our would-be theatre goer doesn't realise you can't just swan up like that and get into the show.

The Methodist productions are always sold out and the only chance of getting in at this late stage is a cancellation – email Julia Parton on programmes@audlemmethodistchurch.org.uk just in case some become available.

They are £6 but well worth the effort – see our Pollyanna review yesterday which possibly the swan had read!
