John Owen wins film award

At the recent AGM of the Film & Video Institute held in Worthing, Sussex, the South-East Region hosts invited guests to make a short film.

This could be about either or both of their programmed excursions to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Arundel Castle, for the Movie of the Trips competition.

The winner was local film enthusiast John Owen who received the award at the South-East Film Festival in Kent earlier this month. The photograph shows John with Mike Shaw the Chairman of The Film & Video Institute (S-E region).

John is now working with the Audlem Community Projects team filming for the touch screen computer programs that will be shown in the Mill Shop on Audlem Wharf and at the Overwater Marina. Filming gets underway next week.
