Jessie's March poem

Local Audlem poet Jessie welcomes in the new month, and Spring, with her March Poem:

Magical March

March is a special month for me
It is when we begin to smile
Put away that gloom and doom
Begin to walk that extra mile through life

March holds the key which unlocks the door
To warm sunshine and soft Spring breezes.
Perhaps the end to coughs and sneezes!

God's young creatures gamble and leap
With sheer delight,
And the whole world takes on
A brighter light.

This month of magic and of mystery
Is full of expectation,
High hopes and future plans -
For thee and for me.

It's a month when -
Mother nature pulls out all the stops,
Puts on her clogs
And brings forth new life.

March may come in like a lion
And go out like a lamb (or vice versa)
But I like March -
I am who I am – a mad March Hare!

By the way – don't forget to say
"White Rabbits"
