An evening out

Oh, what a great evening my friends and I had
When we were invited to the Audlem Party on The Park

It was an evening of music, dancing, fun and laughter.
Food aplenty, from various sources.
Drinks too, just refreshing, most of them-
But some, a little stronger-
Who cares about the morning after!

I cannot imagine how many folk were there,
Families, friends, young, old, babies and toddlers.
I never saw a glum face-
Just a grin, a smile or a look of love.
A great success- for all. By all.

My friends and I were well and truly cared for,
All evening g- "spoilt rotten", I would say,
By the ADCA. team.
We were fed, watered, watched over- safe and secure.
Even had some of us dancing to the music-
A rare treat, I'm sure!
I'd have taken my hat off to them all- if I had one!
