The Carnival today includes the crowning of the Carnival Queen at 1.00pm. There's also a fancy dress competition, stalls, classic car and motor bike displays, bands and, of course the fun fair – it's all on the playing field.

This year's Carnival Queen is Rhiannon Brookes, aged 11. She will be joined by princesses Eden Southall-Martin (10) and Olivia Ball (11). All three are pupils of Audlem St James' School and were chosen by the staff.

It's sure to be a packed day in Audlem with the Carnival and the Festival still in full swing. Yesterdays' glorious weather meant the music venues, especially those out doors were fantastically busy, making it one of the best Festival days in the nine years the event has been running.

The Carnival has been around a little longer with a proud history going back to 1812. Fingers crossed that the hot sunny weather holds and everyone has a fabulous day.
