Sylhet Lodge, the new contemporary Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant & Take Away at Hankelow, is now open on the site of the White Lion.

With private parking for 40 vehicles, the restaurant can cater for up to 110 people. Special occasions are catered for and there is a 10% discount off restaurant prices for Takeaways.

The menu includes all the Indian classics – Tikka, Madras, Dupiaza, Dansak, Sagwalla, Rogan, Pathia, Bhuna and Kurma dishes – plus many less well-known dishes. Jal-jul sounds a beauty , a slightly hot dish marinated and barbequed with green peppers, yoghurt and garlic before being garnished with fried onions.

Tawa is a dish from Rajasthan while Naga Chilli is a traditional Bengali dish marinated and cooked in the clay oven with a chilli sauce. There's a wide range of starters, vegetable dishes, tandoori breads, and a selection of English Dishes.

Sylhet Lodge is open 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays from 5.30pm – 11.00pm, or until 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays and until 10.30pm on Sundays.
