Audlem fire crew was called out last Friday morning to help rescue a heifer stuck in Audlem canal.
Two fire engines from Knutsford joined one from Audlem after a farmer from Coole Pilot rang for help to rescue the animal at about 8.45am.
Fire crews found a young heifer had escaped and got itself stuck in the canal off Coole Lane.
The crews, with the help of the farmer, eventually got the animal out of the water and no damage was done.
