Heartstart Audlem

For the past ten years Heartstart Audlem has delivered free emergency life-saving skills training to all ages in Audlem and the surrounding communities. Training includes CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), use of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) and care of an unconscious casualty, how to look after someone choking and how to deal with serious bleeding. These skills enable people to help others improve their chances of survival after a cardiac arrest or other life-threatening conditions before an ambulance arrives. In a rural community this is needed!

Courses are temporarily on hold due to Covid. We need to raise funds to pay for PPE and to update our training equipment so that we can resume our courses. Our target is £3,000.

Co-op Community Projects

For many years, the Co-op has supported local community projects through its Co-op Community Fund. Last year it delivered £15m to over 4,500 good causes across the UK. Your local Audlem Co-op shop is part of this scheme and this year Heartstart Audlem is one of the good causes the fund is contributing to.

When you buy selected Co-op products and services, 2p for every £1 spent goes into your membership account. The Co-op splits the money between local causes according to your wishes. Heartstart Audlem hopes that you will select our local cause to support. In addition, 1p in every pound goes into our personal account, which you can redeem or donate to your chosen good cause.

You need to become a member of the Co-op (cost £1) to be able to earn rewards for yourself and your community cause. You can do this via this by clicking here.

Don't forget every time you shop at the Audlem Co-op show your Co-op card so you will benefit and good causes such as Heartstart Audlem will benefit!

Thank you.
