The Hatherton Bends

Quite a number of years ago when I was sitting on Audlem Parish Council, Highways were going to treat this stretch and Oake's corner to a high grip surface. The road was marked out for it but nothing ever happened.

The main problem with most of the other road surfaces is the issue of standing water due to blocked drains from the gulleys. When a vehicle hits this it causes fracking of the road surface due to a high pressure shock wave from the water.

Despite contacting Cheshire East Highways many times through the approved channels, I have never received a reply and there has certainly been no action taken.

Contacting our MP has had a similar result.
