Has your black bin been missed?

This week, Cheshire East changed the bin collection rotas so that most Audlem black bins were to be collected on Tuesday. It will be the silver and brown bins next Tuesday.

All has not gone smoothly. Many households did not receive the information packs detailing the new arrangements. Many that did put out their bins yet found they remained unemptied although, it has to be said, other areas had the trucks round as advertised.

An Audlem Parish Councillor spoke to Cheshire East and extra 'mop up' vans were employed yesterday and today. Despite this, bins still remain to be emptied.

The councillor has continued to press Cheshire East this afternoon and has been told that refuse collection will continue tomorrow – presumably on overtime! – but the council cannot guarantee they will get everywhere.

Local Cheshire East councillor, Rachel Bailey, says: "As I am being contacted by residents I am passing on address details for the additional collection planned for Saturday. Could people let me know so that I can pass their details on if their black bin hasn't been emptied and they aren't in a known "not collected area".

Please email Rachel on rachel.bailey@cheshireeast.gov.uk">rachel.bailey@cheshireeast.gov.uk

Bagley Lane and Wood Orchard Lane are amongst those areas still waiting but, wherever you live in the Audlem area, if your bin still needs emptying, leave it outside tomorrow, Saturday. You never know, you might be in luck.
