Great narrow boats through Audlem

The many visitors and residents enjoying the brilliant weather along the canal yesterday also saw some impressive narrow boats passing through the village.

The boats were heading for Ellesmere Port and its Boat Museum for the Easter weekend. If you missed them, the good news is that the majority will be returning via Audlem next week.

Unfortunately, our photos don't capture the sound of the diesel engines but the smiles on the faces of canal enthusiasts said it all as the boats passed by.
