The promised Exhibition by Gladman to provide more details of their scheme for a proposed housing development off Audlem Road was seen by over 100 residents yesterday in the Public Hall.

The exhibition comprised a dozen or so display stands describing various aspects of the background to the proposals and details of the scheme.

Three Gladman representatives were in attendance to discuss the proposals with residents and an opportunity was provided for written comments to be submitted.

While mixed (and sometimes forthright) views were expressed by residents about the desirability of such a development in the village, there was a generally expressed disbelief that the suggested 120 houses could be fitted into the space allowed. So it is perhaps to be expected that the Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council to discuss the matter on Thursday evening (7.30pm in the Public Hall) will be an interesting debate.

For anybody who was unable to visit the Exhibition, the displays can be seen here
