Full house at the Lord C Quiz

“I am delighted to say that at our weekly quiz in the Lord Combermere on Tuesday evening, when we devoted the whole event to the benefit of the Leukaemia Research Charity (a wonderful cause striving to fight a very serious disease that attacks young people), we raised the grand sum of £460 on the night.

A full house of 20 teams enjoyed a great fun might of 68 questions and a huge spread of food given freely by Jo & Allan of the Lord C.

Much chat as to the running of 2 quiz nights on Tuesdays . But I have to say that we do run this very popular fun quiz each and every week. So by the end of the year we will have created around 3500 questions– and given some 160 bottles of wine and over 400 pints as prizes to the winners.

Witness the full pub and this told me that there is plenty of room for the 2 quizzes and long may this be the case. Different styles but all with the same aim of providing yet another jewel in the crown that is Audlem.

On the 13th December quiz night ,we will be giving all our proceeds to the Very Noble Cause – The Donna Louise Trust, which cares for the terminally ill children. “
