A familiar face was out and about in Audlem this morning. Fred Talbot of Granada Reports was filming in the village for his regular Tuesday night slot, Where's Fred.
Audlem Online caught up with him and his team on Audlem Wharf where Fred was with his distinctive Messerschmitt KR200 bubble car.
Fred Talbot presents weather forecasts for ITV Granada. On Tuesday evenings, Where's Fred is a feature where viewers have to guess which city, town or village Fred has been out and about in.
He says that the Audlem programme could be broadcast as soon as next Tuesday (between 6.15pm and 6.30pm) but could be in the weeks after then on a Tuesday
Fred will have been very much at home on Audlem Wharf. Before going in to film, he recalled seeing the Narrow Boat bar in the Shroppie Fly some thirty years ago. Later, in 2006 he also presented a regional series for ITV Granada called Locks and Quays which explored the canal system of North West England.
