Information on local fitness facilities will be provided by the Audlem Medical Practice Patient Group at the Annual Village Meeting on Wednesday evening in the Public Hall.

Keeping Fit in Audlem and District
There's many ways to keep fit locally. A wide range of sports and fitness classes are available. Here's a choice to suit most ages and fitness levels. If you wish, consult your doctor before starting a new fitness regime. Full details are on Audlem Online.

The Audlem Big Walk
A new event for 2011, organised by the Audlem Patient Panel in association with ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society) and Overwater Marina. It's on Saturday 21st May and wll consist of a 'figure-of-eight' walk giving the opportunity of a 3-mile or a 5-6 mile route.

Aerobics – Legs, Bums & Tums
Run by Lisa Ratcliffe on Tuesday evenings at Audlem Public Hall and Monday evenings at Malbank School, Nantwich – sessions run from 6.30 to 7.15pm, and cost £4.00.   These sessions are ladies only; any level of fitness can be accommodated. No need to book. Wear comfortable clothing, trainers and bring water.

Audlem Cricket Club
Two Saturday league teams and a Sunday team. Junior section with qualified coach. Contact Tom Measures on 01270 811105.

Audlem Cycling Club
Regular Sunday rides. Enquire at Audlem CycleSport shop in the Square, Audlem.

ARS and Short-ARS (Audlem Ramblers Society)

Audlem Saints
Successful Junior Football club. Training for Reception Class to Senior School age on Saturday mornings. Enquiries to Reuben Palin on 01270 812012.

Audlem Ladies Table Tennis Club
Friendly female group with varying table tennis skills. Playing sessions in Audlem Public Hall on Mondays, 2.00pm to 4.00pm. Contact Elma Moss on 01270 811019

Audlem Tennis Club

Badminton
ABC Badminton Club has Wednesday evening club nights in Audlem Public Hall (contact Sylvia Maddock on 01270 811471).

Bowls
Audlem Bowls Club has its own crown green bowling ground and clubhouse on Heathfield Road. Contact Ann Champ on 01270 812608
Short Mat Bowling is held in the Public Hall every Wednesday 2 -4 pm from October to April – contact Geoff Cope on 01270 811453

Circuit Fitness
Circuit Fitness class on Fridays at 9.00am in Scout & Guide Hall. Focusses on strengthening, toning, core and alignment and will improve your fitness level. Call Rebecca 01270 812843/ 07899877011 for further information

Golf
Brookfield Golf Club is just north of Hankelow, and less than 2 miles from Audlem. Par 70 course ideal for all golfers. The club welcomes visitors. Call 01270 812991.

Ju Jitsu
Audlem Ju Jitsu Club meets at the Scout and Guide Hall, term-time only, on Fridays from 7.00 to 9.00pm. Call Margaret Partridge on 01270 812018

Saturday Pilates
There are classes at 9.30am and at 10.30am – both are open classes – every Saturday in the Scout and Guide Hall. All welcome, no booking required – £5 per class. Suitable for all ages/levels. Please call Rebecca Burton on 01270 812843 or 0789 9877011

Yoga
The Audlem yoga class are on Monday evenings 7.00 – 8.00pm at the Audlem Scout & Guide Hall. It is a Hatha yoga class suitable for all levels. Contact Mandy Wheatley on 07780 500746 or come along to a class to try it out. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a mat.
