A fascinating new article on a young child's amazing war-time experience in the Audlem area

Today we are delighted to publish one of the most fascinating articles we have ever received. On the Homepage under 'Articles' you will find the amazing story of how Mike Walden was evacuated to the Audlem area from the Island of Guernsey as it was about to be invaded by the German army in 1940.

Mike and his twin brother are today just starting a visit to Audlem and they have relatives who live in this area. A big thank you to Mike for contacting Audlem Online and sharing his memories of what must have been a traumatic time as he was separated from his parents for five long years.
