Fancy Dress Evening for charity

There's a Fancy Dress Evening in Audlem on Saturday August 4th all for an excellent cause to help beat breast cancer.

It starts with a quick visit to both the Shroppie Fly and Bridge Inn at around 7.00 – 7.30pm. There will be a cheap 'Shot' at the Shroppie where all proceeds will go into the fund.

And then it's a strong bowl of Punch in the Bridge Inn: money raised for the Punch will be donated to the fund also.

The main 'event' will be held at the Lord Combermere, where there will be a very nice chilli/stew laid on where once again all the money will go to the charity.

There will be a raffle at say 9.00pm where ticket holders must be present to collect their raffle prize. Then the Charity Auction will take place straight afterwards.

Auction items include an hour's ride in a Porsche 911GT3, 4 tickets to Oulton Park, an aeroplane flight with Geoff Farr, and more auction items yet to be confirmed.

Then the judging of the Fancy Dress will be a bit of fun, I'm sure, with some appropriate prizes to best male, best female and the daftest oufit that catches my eye.

The themes are Cowboys and Indians; Vicars and Tarts: Superheroes and Geeks.

It should be noted that this event isn't really for youngsters as one or two amusing activities are planned that wouldn't be suitable for them. Now that's got you thinking!
