The daily Sudoku puzzles have proved a big success since they were launched on 1st May – not only is there a choice of three new puzzles every day, you can, if you wish, test your speed against other puzzle enthusiasts. Click on Puzzles on the top bar to find this entertaining section of Audlem Online.

Hot on the Sudoku trail comes another daily puzzle – the Slide Picture Puzzle. It's an online version of the popular childhood puzzle. Click & drag the blank square on the right of the picture over any adjacent tile to rebuild today's Audlem Online homepage picture, which has been randomly rearranged. Today, you can set about rebuilding Moss Hall.

The extra square to the right hand side can be exchanged with any of the tiles in the right-hand column – you choose as this can make the puzzle easier or more difficult. There's a scoreboard above which tells you how many moves you've had and a 'Restart' facility if you want to go back to Square One. Or you can 'Undo' individual moves rather than going back to the very beginning.

The random nature of the picture's rearrangement also means the difficulty, and the number of moves required, varies from day to day. Equally, a photo with lots of, say, blue sky – an unlikely prospect at present, we know, but we do have archive photographs taken in sunshine – may be more tricky, as it is with a conventional jigsaw with lots of sky.

Click on Puzzles on the top bar and scroll down to find the Pictures Slide Puzzle below the Sudoku. We should add a Health Warning – this game is seriously addictive!

Exclusive to Audlem OnlineThis version of a Picture Slide Puzzle has been designed from scratch by a member of the Audlem Online webteam and is automatically updated every day.

In the not too distant future, an exclusive inside story of how it works may be revealed. In the meantime, it's a closely guarded secret that will only be revealed to a multi-national puzzle company with a very large chequebook – or, reflecting the age in which we live, equally large PayPal facility!
