While it looks as if the Coxbank flood situation is being tackled by the council, we had promised readers more hints on how to leave Coxbank. Here's our second attempt – and many more were lined up, including a number of splendid suggestions from Coxbank residents:

Readers yesterday will have seen the first of our series of helpful hints for residents needing to get out of Coxbank and navigate the lake that now occupies their only road to the rest of the world.

Surfing, as shown yesterday, is fine for the solitary, and well balanced, escapee. But, if you can pull together a party, here's a really fun way to get down that flooded lane.
