At the South Cheshire Embroiderers' Guild June meeting, the speaker was Amanda Hislop: "Landlines" was the title of her talk.

The essence of the landscape & natural forms inspires her work.

We were fortunate to be able to see her wonderful sketch books and some of her finished pieces.
She explained how she used paper, fabric, paint & stitch to bring the samples and sketches to life.

Members of the Guild also brought to the meeting work they had completed following a workshop run by guild members and invited tutors.

The July meeting is for Members only as we bring to a close the wonderful season of speakers and workshops but you are welcome to join on September 15th when we start the new season of talks and workshops.

We meet every third Thursday of the month except August with a full program of speakers and workshops. Please come and join us. You will be made very welcome and you don't have to be an experienced embroiderer – you just need to have a love of fabric and thread.

The door is open from 10.00am. As a visitor your entrance fee is just £4 which includes free tea or coffee and of course biscuits, you are allowed two visits to see if you like us enough to join.
